Hi Nini, I just want to thankyou and ALL the staff, the dining room and making up the room, people for such a wonderful stay. After 10 days I really thought I was part of the furniture and was very sad to leave.

I have a couple of photos I would like to send, so if you can let me know the email address I will forward them.

Once again, Thankyou, I would def come back and stay again (hopefully next Airwaves) and recommend to my friends

Have a wonderful Christmas

Luv
Maria :)

I accompanied my daughters and a granddaughter June 2-7, 2012. We had rooms side by side on the 4th floor. We were in the small ones. Not a problem, outside in the hall is a very nice area with couches and a large coffee table. So we all four were out there when we were back at the hotel. Amazing tasty buffet breakfast each morning. Wonderful service from the staff, helpful for tours, and which bus to take when we did the shopping downtown. We really appreciated Helga in the gift shop. She was so helpful and so nice.
Thank you for a wonderful adventure for us. Iceland is spectacular and Hotel Cabin made us feel at home. Thank you. And they were offered us the breakfast when we arrived too early to check into our rooms. That is going beyond service. We rate it 5 stars!

Also da gibt`s nix zu meckern. Salate, Soßen, Obst, was du willst! Und umgerechnet für 8 Euro inkl. Getränke (Softdrinks und Kaffee), was will man mehr.
I stayed for 5 nights recently.I have stayed before. It really is pleasant staying at the Cabin. The hotel is kept spotlessly clean and the salad bar and the lounge bar are excellent. The rooms are comfortable and the housekeeping staff maintain a high standard.Which brings me on to the staff in general.
Always helpful, friendly and efficient. All of this and good value for money.I strongly recommend the Hotel Cabin.
I have visited Hotel Cabin on four occasions with a large school group, most recently this Easter. We visit at a time of year when the hotel is very busy with both independent visitors and large groups. Despite this, the hotel rooms are spotlessly clean and the hotel reception and catering staff are always very helpful and calm. The food is plentiful and always fresh. The hotel is well organised to handle individual and large groups. We will be back!

We just returned from a short break to Iceland and stayed in this lovely hotel, room was excellent,(we upgraded to De-Luxe for just a little more than basic and well worth the extra). The breakfast was substantial and plentyfull as was the evening meal.It took us 30 mins to walk slowly into the centre of Reykjovic ,I would advise getting the bus, (number 12)a day ticket from reception is a good investment at 800isk you can travel on any bus for a whole day, alternativley 350isk for one journey. The friendly and helpfull staff made our stay very enjoyable and we will most definitely be returning in the not to distant future.

GOOD BASIC HOTEL, BREAKFAST GOOD,EVENING MEAL GOOD FOR PRICE, STAFF FRIENDLY, HELPFUL AND SPOKE GOOD ENGLISH. IT WAS WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE OF CENTRE, EVEN IN THE SNOW WE EXPERIENCED THERE. AS TWO SENIOR CITIZENS WE WOULD STAY AGAIN AT THIS HOTEL BUT WOULD RECOMMEND UPGRADING TO DE LUXE ROOM.

We have stayed at the Cabin many times, maybe seven or eight now, and we are planning to come again for next New Year 2012. My only tip for couples is to book a Deluxe room. More space for not much more money. The staff are always helpful, and the hotel is a pleasant walk from the centre of Reykjavik. See you in December folks!

I stayed here in November 2009 and absolutely loved this hotel. Thinking of returning to Iceland in 2012 and would definitely stay here again. The staff were really friendly and helpful to me and my daughter and they even let me order a Domino's pizza to my room! For £19 per night the rooms were very clean and cosy and the dining area was immaculate. Love love LOVE!
