Construction in the neighborhood

Construction work will begin in September 2025 near the Cabin Hotel, which will involve demolishing the Guðmundur Jónassonar building behind the hotel and building a residential building. The demolition period is expected to be completed in December 2025, and no decision has been made on whether to continue the construction.

The contractors have shown good cooperation and will strive to keep the noisy construction work to a the period between 10:00 and 17:00 during weekdays.

The impact on our operations will therefore be as little as possible, although access to our parking lots may need to be reduced for about a week during the period.
